How would I go about making a Loading Bar in Macromedia Flash?

On one file, I already have a flash page saying now loading and I need to make a loading bar. I have made one before, which is simple but there was one layer called 'contents' which it goes about loading that one frame (which contained a 150kb picture), this was in the tutorial. But my other file has many other layers and frames, not just one. How would I go about making a loading bar that would load the contents from another flash file I have created?

well there is two different ways... if the other movie is large %26gt;500kb, you should use:





movieClipLoader with listeners like onLoadProgress to check the loading, which can then be tied to a loading bar with percents and the ._xscale command





if it is a smaller movie, simply use the loadMovie command, because that should take too long to load(unless you're on dial-up or something)





btw, it doesnt matter how many layers or frames the movie has when you're trying to load it, you should be loading the .swf into the other flash movie

I know someone who had photoshop on their computer and I have a flash-drive large enough. Can I put photoshop on it and then import it to my computer? If it matters, I have a mac.

No. This will not have the installation data and utility so while you might see it, it won't run because it won't be properly installed. And if they have a PC and you have a Mac it definitely won't work because the versions are OS-specific. You can't install a PC version of such an application on a Mac or the Mac version on a PC. Aside from that, this is software piracy. It is not legal to just "give" someone a copy of software they paid for. If it were that easy, no-one would bother selling software because everyone could make copies this way.

Try clearing you're internet browser chache, Temporary files, All of that. If not then clear you're registry, Scan for virus's.


OR could be a myspace glitch.

Is there a way to get the setup files onto my flash drive?

I want to do a system recovery on my laptop and start it like brand new, is there a flash drive or someway to store my Microsoft Office? I don't have the Microsoft Office CD to reinstall it.

After creating one leg symbol, (by drawing the leg, selecting it and then right clicking to make it a symbol) , just drag another instance of the leg symbol onto the stage from the library. Be sure to put the new instance on its own layer.


To target the instances for actionscripting you can name them in the properties inspector.
