How can I stop my internet browser from automatically loading flash objects on a web site?

I use Mozilla Firefox. I know you can block images from loading. Is there a way I can also block flash objects and any other kinds of pictures or movie clips I don't want to see from automatically loading?

Just to get it out ahead of time, I'm not going to uninstall my flash program or anything like that. I just don't want to see stuff that I don't specifically want to see.

How can I stop my internet browser from automatically loading flash objects on a web site?
I just yell STOP IT!!! at the top of my lungs. At first, it doesn't really seem to work that well. Co-workers seem to get a kick out of it though... and then they'll come fix my computer.
Reply:Go here to install ImgLikeOpera:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

Go to Tools--Add-ons--ImgLikeOpera--Options

Enable advanced options, and check the "block flash objects" option.
Reply:You can right click on the blocked flash object and select allow from this site or block. You can also use this:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

with this:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

That will allow you to hide certain parts. If you hide something and want to unhide it, under ad block options look for blocked items. Find the element hide category and right click on the blocked object and select delete.
