Sorry if my question seems silly but I'm really confused... Do you need a slave flash/.external flash to bounce off the light of a reflector? Or the flourescent/halogen/etc does it?
Do you need an external flash to bounce off a reflector for studio/outdoor lighting?
Reflectors are usually used to bounce sunlight back onto the subject as fill light. I have never worked with a reflector bouncing flash light. Just diffuse it
Reply:You can use a older camera flash with a "slave receiver" on it to trigger your flash from the one on your camera or you can also run a pc cable to it if you have that connection on your camera. You can also use sunlight. Stay away from florescent lighting that is a type of lighting not good in photography especially shooting portraits and stuff. You could use a regular 100-150 light bulb aimed at it but it will give a slightly yellow cast which does not really hurt for portrait work. But it also depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Hope that helps,
Kevin
