How can you click a photo of your eye without getting the reflection of the flash?

How do you click a picture of your eye (so that the color is clear) without getting any reflection of the flash and also that the iris is clear?

Reply:1. Take the picture where there is bright ambient light so your pupil is constricted. This will protect your retina and make the iris look better.

2. Use you camera's macro mode, but zoomed out.

3. Look straight ahead and keep your eye still.

4. I personally used the flash. It came out cool because I can see a reflection of my camera on my pupil. You will probably have to use a higher ISO if you refuse to use a flash.
Reply:Yeah, I agree you'd probably blind yourself and damage your eye if you flash it that close.

Back out a distance and take the picture, then crop the eye in photoshop.
Reply:Don't use the flash. Using it that close to your eye could cause actual, permanent damage. I bet if you read the Manual for your camera it will warn you about not firing the flash up close into the eyes.
Reply:Bounce flash
