I want to teach myself flash animation, but I have no idea where to begin. What software do I need, what do I need to know (or know how to do)? Can anyone help me?

Flash animations are made with Adobe Flash. And information for purchasing can be found on Adobe's website. If you are a student, you can purchase educational version of the software. I think it's around $700 for the business price or $250 for the educational.

Reply:In school, we used SWISH. It's a pretty good and simple flash program. Try that. =). And maybe get some flash tuturials from books, the internet or something.
