I'm getting a replacement drive and heard that you have to "flash" it before it will be compatible for Xbox 360. How do I go about "flashing" the disk drive?

never heard about this... since xbox only works with first party HD's.
If what your saying is true. i wouldn't try it; you might end-up trashing your 360 as a result. (i should know; 360 can be abit fragile)
Reply:Are you talking about a new hard drive, if you are it isn't called flashing its called formating, that is simple, you just connect it to your console power it on, go to the sytem blade, select memory and just format, it will erase every thing but will allow you to save your data and recover your gamertag offline.
