I'm trying to make a soundboard in flash. I found a number of tutorials online, but they all show you how to make your first button and then say "repeat the process."
The first time I tried making all buttons part of the same layer. The only one that worked was the first one. I also tried putting each button on its own layer, but that didn't work either.
Anyone had a similar problem?

ok i am currently doing a course i flash and know exactly what you are talking about!
you need to create each button as a separate 'button', you need to have the drawing of a button then convert it to a 'button'. this can all be done on the same layer in the same frame. once it is converted into a 'button' you can assign the sound.
