Where do the batteries go for the flash of a Polaroid One Step camera?

We found one at a resale shop and can't figure out where the batteries go for the flash. Does it even need batteries?

Where do the batteries go for the flash of a Polaroid One Step camera?
There were a few cameras that had a battery built into the film pack. You buy the film pack (something like 10 instant, auto-developing photos) and since it comes with its own battery, you never have the problem of the batteries going dead on you. Well, that was the idea anyway.

Look in the film compartment for two springy metal tabs that would make contact with the battery in the film pack.

the battery is required not only for the flash but also for the motor that feeds the picture out after you snap it and if the camera is auto-focus, runs that as well.
Reply:If flash not working with new film pack, check on two things.

1) Does your camera have a disable switch for the flash, some do, and they are usually small.

2) Make sure you do not have out of date film. An old film cartridge can have a bad internal battery.

If neither of these things are true, then try loading a different pack of film. Also- try taking a picture in a dimly lit room to make sure the flash is not being turned off by the camera because it is not needed.
Reply:No, the flash does not need separate batteries. The film cartridge has its own battery pack in it that powers up the camera and the flash.
Reply:you dont need batteries for the flash you will get your flash when you put in the film and take the picture. it is built in to the disk thing you insert in the camera. no batteries need for a polaroid. you get the power from the film packet also.
