How do you permanently delete flash and reinstall it on your home computer?

Ever since the spring or summer macromedia update attempt, now I cannot see flash on my computer whatsoever (only error messages) and not at all in IE browser (only can see flash in Firefox) and it's VERY frustrating and I've searched the web like crazy for answers and cannot find them anywhere. Thank you so much for anyone with the correct answers - reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling MediaCenter XP is not a viable option.

How do you permanently delete flash and reinstall it on your home computer?
Try any of these, one of them will definately work.

1. Try to uninstall it from Add/Remove programs and then reboot your PC and install it again.

2. Install the application directly without unistallling it.

3. Delete the folder of flash from the hard disc. Open regedit, backup your registry and then edit the registry to delete all occurrances of flash. Do this only if you are confident in registry editing.

4. Delete the folder of flash from the hard disc. Download "CCleaner" from http://www.ccleaner.com/ Install it and clean your registry as well as all temp files. Reboot the PC and install flash.
Reply:control panel%26gt;%26gt;add/remove programs

check the box on top of the window for 'show updates'

scroll down to find flash payer under pug-in's or in updates or in windows update and uninstall it.

Else you can perform the system restore to an earlier point.

1. Click Start, Programs or All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then System Restore. The Welcome to System Restore window appears.

2. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time, and click Next. The Select a Restore Point window appears.

3. Select a date and a restore point, and then click Next.

4. Click OK when a pop-up window about closing programs appears. The Confirm Restore Point Selection window opens.

5. Click Next. The computer should shut down and turn back on automatically after the restoration completes. The Restoration

Complete window appears.

6. Click OK.
Reply:There are a few problems with falsh of late, sepecially with IE. I would suggest lookin into the Internet Options -- %26gt; advanced --%26gt; Multimedia in IE and try to remove flash folders and registry entries( be careful while doing this as it can cause some damage if not done properly) and reinstall flash or shockwave players from macromedia or any download sites. Tell me if it helps!!
