How come my flash doesnt work?

I have a sony digital camera and all of a sudden my flash doesnt work! B4 i take pics usually this red/orange flash comes on and then the real flash but this time the red/orange flash comes on but not the real flash. ahhh. What should I do? help!

if it's still under warranty, you need to send it in for repairs.
Reply:Couple things might be wrong.


Here are the obvious things you probably already checked.


1) Batteries, not just fresh, but properly installed.


2) Synced with shutter


3) Camera set to fire flash





Here is something that also might work.


Take a pencil and use the eraser end to clean the terminals of both the battery connections and the hotshoe (the place where you put the flash onto the camera.)





If these things don't work, you're screwed.

Try pressing the different flash modes button.





If not, hold down the capture button, because I think thats the camera my sister has, and sometimes the flash dosent always work and it does if you hold down the button.
Reply:Repair your flash now, a repairer will tell you the problem.
