How to export a 3d model from google sketch up to flash?
I have not yet used Google SketchUp, however, I do know how they get those 3D models in Flash. A lot of real-world items that can rotate are simply a series of images/pictures taken of the object and put in frames. Also, if it's a virtual object, a popular 3D modelling tool that was created specifically for putting 3D models in flash is Swift3D by Electric Rain.

Also, in case you were wondering - there is no tool in flash to rotate an actual 3D object. Even Swift3D animations are simply that - a series of still frames that resemble movement and appear 3D that are optimized for Flash documents. So, you could manually get your Google model in Flash by simply taking a series of screenshots and importing the images to frames in an animation.

I hope that helps.
Reply:i think there is more than one way to do it...first with Sketchup you can export an avi file. after that you convert that file to a flash file with a avi to flash converter. i also think you export your animation as a series of jpegs representing the different frames per second you have and then use those to create your flash animation

cheers
